A Night at The Opera with Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra

Active local opera producer Leung Siu Kwan was invited by Bao Anh Nguyen, Artistic Director of Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) to co-produce a gala concert to celebrate the end of 2019 at Saigon Opera House.

The gala concert was led by the highly acclaimed conductor Hans Richter, joined by distinguished soloists from Hong Kong to present some of the most beloved opera arias from Die Fledermaus, La Traviata, Lucia di Lammermoor, and Paganini with staging direction from Leung Siu Kwan. In additions, piano soloist Ta Quang Vu presented Rachmaninoff’s famous Piano Concerto No.2, op.18.

This meaningful concert wrapped up a wonderful 2019 for Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra,  which had reaped great musical and educational accomplishments. It also set off the orchestra’s tour across seven cities in Germany at the beginning of 2020.
